Howling

Let me howl at you, oh moonless night,

For you howl at my lonely plight.

Maybe my howling will ease my pain,

And the lone wolf in me will howl again.

Oh, my moonless moon, where do you hide?

Come out and hear my cry by my side.

Stay with me, calm and near,

Perhaps your presence will quell my fear.

Let my soul find peace, let it rest,

By crying out, may it feel blessed.

When shadows grow and the stars are few,

I'll howl my heart out, just for you.

In the quiet night, hear my plea,

For your light alone can set me free.
