Dreams beyond boundaries
Why can’t I dream, they ask and sigh,
When I look up and reach for the sky.
They say it’s not my place to see,
A future bright, where I am free.
My dreams are thorns that cling so tight,
Yet they fuel my heart, they light my night.
Fear not, I say, for dreams are mine,
I'll make them real, I'll let them shine.
I’ve worked, I’ve fought, I’ve shed my tears,
Now closer to my dream, I face their fears.
A girl should not, they claim and scold,
But dreams aren’t bound by stories old.
Created equal, life’s breath we share,
Yet they impose limits, declare what's fair.
But narrow minds won’t cage my flight,
My dreams will soar, into the night.
I am not weak, though girl I be,
With dreams so vast, as deep as the sea.
I’ll dream and strive, my path I’ll make,
Their doubts and fears, I will forsake.
Their words may sting, from those I love,
Yet I’ll rise high, like stars above.
The walls they build, they cannot stand,
Against my dreams, against my hand.
Why cage this bird, why clip these wings?
When I can do such wondrous things.
If they can change the world, why not I?
With dreams so strong, I’ll touch the sky.
Trust me once, believe in me,
And see the change my dreams will be.
For in my heart, and in my soul,
Lies the power to make us whole.
Dreams of a world, where all are free,
No rich, no poor, just you and me.
An equal place, where dreams can soar,
This is my vision, this I implore.
One day they’ll see, and understand,
The strength and power in my hand.
I’ll make this world a better place,
With dreams that know no bound, no space.
Trust in me, just let me dream,
And watch the world light up and gleam.
For dreams beyond these boundaries lie,
In every girl, who dares to try.
